住在美國加州矽谷，先生一名，兒子兩名。

台大外文系畢業。先後在政大新聞研究所及美國奧勒岡州新聞研究所進修。曾任台灣聯合報和美國世界日報記者共十餘年。

說國語，英文，及若干西班牙文。

熱愛寫作，共出書十餘本，包括「台北SOS」，「幽默男女」，「頑皮天使有點壞」 ，「矽谷傳奇」，「網路英雄傳奇」，「掀開高科技底牌」，近作有「英文歡喜說」 ，自創並推廣「Hijewel英文秘笈」英語教學，並在世界日報部落格開設「鄧海珠幽默按摩」專欄，以詼諧筆觸評論生活、人物及時事，廣受歡迎。

興趣廣泛，彈吉他十餘年，喜愛自彈自唱七十年代西洋民謠，曾為聖荷西中文學校吉他班老師，並喜愛佛朗明哥音樂及舞蹈，也喜歡打桌球。
